As Upper Midwest Law Center (UMLC) enters its fourth year of initiating pro-freedom litigation to protect against government overreach and Constitutional violations, it is excited to announce the expansion of its legal team to assist with an increased demand for cases.
Attorney Jeff Van Nest has joined UMLC to focus on public safety-related litigation. Jeff worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent where he held a variety of leadership positions in Los Angeles, FBI Headquarters, and Minneapolis. He completed his twenty-year career as the Chief Division Counsel, Minneapolis Field Office. In this role, Jeff provided legal oversight and handled all litigation related to FBI operations in Minnesota and the Dakotas. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and holds law degrees from the University of Wisconsin (JD) and Georgetown University Law Center (LLM).
Van Nest will join the legal team of Senior Trial Attorney James Dickey, Attorney Greg Joseph, and Doug Seaton, President and General Counsel of UMLC. The law firm also continues to employ interns and plans to add another full time attorney in 2022.
